In 1938, OKQ Petroleum Company was founded in Gothenburg, Sweden.

In 1947, it was used as the initial installation oil for SAAB 92 car.

In 1956, as the worlds leading heavy truck andbus manufacturer SCANIA (SCANIA) as a depot supporting oil.

In 1962, it became the only designated oil for Volvo P210 station wagon.

In 1982, won the Volvo 760 series 2.8L 6 cylinder engine depot certification of the preferred oil. 

2007年，OKQ 赞助A1GP赛车运动世界杯，并作为赛车指定专用机油。

In 1998, developed a 5W-50 fully synthetic racing special oil for the Swedish royal sports car Koenigsegg (Koenigsegg), and at the same time helped Koenigsegg break the 431Km/ h set by Bugatti Veyron in 2010 at a speed of 447.2Km/ h record of.

In 2000,OKQ petroleum company discovered for the first time that ethanol can be mixed in 95-octane gasoline and supplied to the Swedish military.

In 2005, OKQ gas stations and auto supply stores exceeded 1,000 in Sweden alone, becoming a local noble brand.

In 2007, OKQ sponsored the A1GP Motorsport World Cup and designated the motor oil  for racing.
